Lumbago is related with the pain in the lower back. In some cases this pain may be mild but in some cases it may be severe. Some people may suffer from the problem of chronic pain. This pain in the lower back is said to be a chronic pain if the pain lasts for three months and more. Usually the chronic pain is severe as well as unbearable also. This type of pain is common among both the gender but especially it is very common among the people of younger generation whose physical activities are strenuous. If any person is suffering from unbearable pain in any region then he or she must consult to a doctor. Some of the tests like bone scan, MRI, X-ray or discography is very effective to diagnose the cause of the pain.

Sometimes the cause of the pain may be your back, poor posture and also your bad diet. This pain may also result from occupational hazard which is caused due to heavy work.

Lumbago Remedies

Some of the important tips are there which prevent a lower back pain -

1. Exercising is very important in reducing the problem of lumbago. Regular exercises reduce the pain in your back as well as joint. You can go for cycling, swimming and jogging as these exercises are best to reduce as well as to prevent pain and also damages to the tissues in the back. Several types of back and abdominal exercises are there which help to stretches the muscles and tissues in the back if performed regularly. It is necessary to warm up before starting exercise as it will prevent back strains as well as muscles pulls.

2. Sleeping on a firm mattress is also necessary in order to reduce the pain due to lumbago. Always sleep on your back position to maintain good posture. To ensure good blood circulation you must use a pillow so that your head must be alleviated.

3. In order to avoid the pain due to lumbago you must avoid to lifting heavy weights. If it is must to lift heavy weights then bend your knees then lift the weight so that there may be even distribution of weights. The weight of the object will not directly affect your back but also get distributed on your legs and thus back straining gets avoided.

4. If sitting for long hours is required then you must use a firm chair otherwise keep a cushion or pillow at your back.
