Gout Home Remedies, Natural Treatment and Causes

Gout is related with the inflammation of the joints. Usually it is swellings of a recurrent type. Basically it is chronic in character and occurs with acute attacks. It chiefly affects wealthy and the people of middle-aged.

The most common symptom of gout is acute pain in the big toe. In few hours the toe becomes swollen, hot and tender. Similarly it affects one and the more joints like knees, wrist and some times more than single joint is affected at a time. Usually it attacks the people in the mid night or in early morning when usually the people awakes suddenly. When any person is affected by an acute attack then it will continue for a week or more days. During this period the sufferer may suffer from fever and sometimes the sufferer has to suffer from a serious complication of having kidney stones containing uric acid. In some people there may be kidney failure.

One of the important and the main cause of gout is the formation of uric acid crystals in the skin, joints and the kidney. People suffering from gout have higher percentage of uric acid in the blood than the normal percentage. Secondly excessive intake of alcoholic drinks, lack of regular exercises, stress, heredity and also regular eating of foods rich in carbohydrates, protein etc.

The problem of gout can be treated with the help home remedies. There are many effective and popular home remedies for gout which must be followed regularly.



1. Apple is said to be an effective source for curing gout. Patient suffering from the problem of gout are advised to take one apple after every meal. Apple contains malic acid which is said that, it neutralizes the uric acid and gives relief to the patient.

2. For treating the problem of gout the juice of French or string beans are also effective. Take 150 ml of this juice regularly to reduce the problem of gout.

3. Cherry whether it is sweet or sour is very effective in relieving the problem of gout. Patient suffering from this problem must take 15-20 cherries in a day initially then after some days 10 cherries. If you will keep regular eating of 10 cherries then this problem will be under control.

4. If you apply cold packs on the affected area especially at night, it will be beneficial. Regular exercises and intake of fresh air is also essential for reducing the problem of gout.
