Home Remedies for Frozen Shoulder

Medically, frozen shoulder is termed as adhesive capsulitis. It usually affects the people of middle-aged and the people of older age. Commonly people between the age group of 40-60 years are susceptible to frozen shoulder. The main characteristics of the problem of frozen shoulder are inflammation, pain and also stiffness in the shoulder region. Due to this problem the movement of the shoulder joints becomes extremely difficult and painful. Even our daily activities like brushing teeth, combing hair, wearing clothes etc. get affected and they seems to be arduous task.

Commonly frozen shoulder is related with three distinct stages. They are frozen, freezing and thawing stage. Freezing stage is recognized by the onset of the pain as well as stiffness in the shoulder, in the frozen stage the pain is maximum and the movements of the joints is restricted and in the thawing stage the condition again starts to improve. But even after the thawed stage in which the pain subsides, frozen shoulder may reoccur. Frozen shoulder is not related with some definite or precise cause. It may be the result of several causes like prolonged bad posture, injury, heart and lung diseases, problem of autoimmune system etc.

The problem of frozen shoulder is very common and can be treated with the help of home remedies. Some of the popular and effective home remedies -

1. Regular massaging with herbal oil such as Rumatone Gold Oil is very effective in relieving the pain due to frozen shoulder. It is best to have a massage with the help of some other people rather doing yourself. It warm up the muscles and also relax the muscles. It is an effective home remedy and it is popular too. After the application of heating pad, apply an ice pack and press it upon your shoulder. This alternate treatment of heat and cold significantly help in reducing the pain in the shoulder.

3. You can also use water pillow to support your shoulder while sleeping.

4. Massaging your shoulder with the oil prepared by burning 3-4 crushed cloves of garlic in mustard oil is also very effective. It is beneficial in reducing the pain due to frozen shoulder.
